Spring Cleaning Challenge 2024 Contest Rules

  1. House Work’s Spring Cleaning Challenge will run from March 22, 2024 until May 2, 2024 at 11:59 pm MST
  2. Eligibility:
    1. Must agree to the Contest Rules;
    2. Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of entry; 
    3. Must be a legal resident of Canada (excluding the province of Quebec) or the United States of America;
    4. Employees, officers and representatives of House Work, and their affiliates, including members of their immediate families (defined as including a spouse, biological, adoptive and step-parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or households (whether related or not) or any of the above are NOT eligible to participate;
    5. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.
  3. To enter the Grand Prize Giveaway:
    1. Download the free cleaning challenge from www.housework.com. 
  4. There is NO purchase necessary to enter or win.
  5. Weekly winners will be chosen randomly from specified social media posts within 24 hours of each contest closing and notified via DM.
  6. The Grand prize winner will be selected in a random drawing on May 3, 2024 and notified via email.
  7. There are a total of 16 prizes available, as described below. The total Approximate Retail Value is $14,642CAD/$11,006USD

The prizes are as follows;

  • There is one (1) Grand prize of a house clean by the House Work team valued up to $2200CAD/$1745USD. Date of clean to be mutually agreed upon. Only residential homes up to 5000 square feet are eligible to win.  Winner consents to photography/ videography of the home during the house clean and to the use of the images on social and other media, and for marketing by House Work, its corporate affiliates. Winner consents to a 2-night stay in a hotel during the clean. Lodging costs to be covered by House Work up to $1200CAD/$890USD. House Work will be responsible for the cost of travel, food, and lodging for the House Work team. House Work reserves the right to reschedule the cleaning services and is not liable for any delays arising due to flight delays or cancellations, travel advisories, travel restrictions imposed by either Canadian or US government.

    • Prize 1 – i.e Shark blow dryer ($350CAD/$300USD), Red light therapy lamp ($193CAD/$140USD). Total value up to $543CAD/$440USD.
    • Prize 2 – i.e Sephora gift card ($675CAD/$500USD), Amazon towels ($187CAD/$115USD) . Total value up to $862CAD/$615USD.
  • IG Week 3 (Bedrooms) –
    • Prize 1 – i.e. Boll & Branch Signature Starter Bundle ($958CAD/$709USD), Book set ($78CAD/$56USD). Total value up to $1036CAD/$765USD.
    • Prize 2 – i.e. Boll & Branch Signature Starter Bundle ($958CAD/$709USD), Book set ($208CAD/$130USD). Total value up to $1166CAD/$839USD.
  • IG Week 4 (Living Room & Laundry) –
    • Prize 1 – i.e. Ruggable rug (up to 9 x 12’). Total value up to $872CAD/$639USD.
    • Prize 2 – i.e. Amazon Fire TV (up to 55”) ($660CAD/$520USD), Lola blanket ($403CAD/$299USD). Total value up to $1063CAD/$819USD.
  • IG Week 5 (Playroom, Office & Common Areas) –
    • Prize 1 – i.e. Kindle ($160CAD/$150USD), Amazon gift card ($135CAD/$100USD). Total value up to $295CAD/$250USD.
    • Prize 2 – i.e. Beats headphones ($470CAD/$350USD), Spotify Premium 1-year subscription ($121CAD/$99USD). Total value up to $591CAD/$449USD.
  • IG Week 6 (Outdoor) –
    • Prize 1 – i.e. Patio heater ($270CAD/$153USD), Shop vacuum ($316CAD/$160USD). Total value up to $586CAD/$313USD.
    • Prize 2 – i.e. Fire table ($340CAD/$240USD), Pressure washer ($230CAD/$169USD). Total value up to $570CAD/$409USD.
  • Youtube Week 1 & 2 – i.e. Tineco S7 Combo. Total value up to $1200CAD/$900USD. 
  • Youtube Week 3 & 4 – i.e. Ruggable rug (up to 9 x 12’). Total value up to $872CAD/$639USD.
  • Youtube Week 5 & 6 – i.e. Amazon gift card. Total value up to $675CAD/$500USD.
  1. The winners will have 48 hours from the time they are notified to claim their prize (i.e. respond to the DM or email). If not claimed within 48  hours, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected. 
  2. Winners must follow the @gocleanco Instagram account and consent to be tagged as a winner.
  3. The winners will be required to answer a skill-testing mathematical question to claim the prize. 
  4. In the case of an item not being available, House Work will provide an applicable gift card with the same value as the prize.
  5. Although House Work will cover shipping costs of the prizes, the winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, provincial and local taxes, duties and any other costs not expressly provided for in these Rules associated with receipt of a prize.
  6. This giveaway is not associated with, sponsored, administered or endorsed by Meta or YouTube. Each entrant hereby releases Meta and YouTube of all liability arising out of or relating to this giveaway.
  7. YouTube entries that do not comply with the Community Guidelines will be disqualified.
  8. This giveaway is not sponsored, partnered, associated or endorsed by any company or brand.
  9. By entering the giveaway, each entrant consents for House Work to collect and use its personal information, including name and email address, for the purpose of administering the giveaway and delivering the prize (if applicable).  All personal information will be treated in accordance with applicable privacy laws in Alberta, Canada. House Work will not publish your personal information except with your prior written consent. Your personal information may be utilized by House Work for marketing communications including any future contests and promotions. You can withdraw your consent at any time by notifying [email protected].
  10. Each entrant grants to House Work an irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive, worldwide, transferable, and royalty free right and license to use, execute, reproduce, display, post, distribute copies of or portions thereof, and prepare derivative works of any entry.
  11. By accepting the prize, winners agree that House Work and its directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents and corporate affiliates will have no liability whatsoever for, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind to persons, and property damages sustained, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize, or participation in this giveaway or any prize-related activity.
  12. The Winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state, provincial and local laws, rules and regulations. 
  13. House Work reserves the right to update or modify these Rules at any time without notice.
  14. House Work reserves the right to cancel the giveaway at any time for any reason. 
  15. Any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this giveaway, or the prize awarded, including matters relating to the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of the Rules or the rights and obligations of the entrants/winners or House Work, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the province of Alberta, and the federal laws applicable therein.  
  16. In exchange for participating each entrant/winner agrees to release House Work from all actions, cause of action, claims, whether at law or in equity and whether know or unknown which the entrant/participant has or hereafter may have in relation to their participation or the Contest/Giveaway. Each entrant/winner irrevocably agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Alberta, Canada.

General Giveaway Rules

  1. House Work’s Giveaways will run at any time.

  3. To enter the Giveaway:

  5. All winners will be chosen once the story expires (24 hours after posting)  and notified via Instagram or Facebook private/direct message.
  6. Winners have 48 hours from the time they are notified to claim their prize (ie. respond to the private/direct message), if not claimed within 48 hours the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be chosen. 
  7. Winners will be required to answer a skill-testing mathematical question in order to claim the prize and consent to being tagged on Instagram.
  8. This giveaway is not associated with, sponsored, administered or endorsed by Instagram or Facebook. Each entrant hereby releases Instagram and Facebook of all liability arising out of or relating to this giveaway.
  9. YouTube entries that do not comply with the Community Guidelines will be disqualified.
